🔐Google reCaptcha
Societal Labs integrates with Google reCAPTCHA, a free service that helps protect your site from spam and abuse. It uses an advanced risk analysis engine and adaptive challenges to keep malicious software from engaging in abusive activities on your site. This integration adds an extra layer of security to your social site, ensuring a safer environment for your users.
Steps to Set Up Google reCAPTCHA
To set up the Google reCAPTCHA integration, you'll need to register on the Google reCAPTCHA site and configure it for your platform. Here's how you can do this:
Visit the Google reCAPTCHA site.
Click on the 'Admin Console' button located in the upper right corner of the site.
Sign in with your Google account.
On the 'Register a new site' page, do the following:
Select 'reCAPTCHA v2' as the type of reCAPTCHA.
Choose the 'I'm not a robot' Checkbox.
Enter your Bubble app domain in the 'Domains' section. Make sure to exclude 'https://' from the domain.
If you have a custom domain, enter it in the 'Domains' section as well.
Enter your email address in the 'Owners' section.
Accept the reCAPTCHA Terms of Service and click on the 'Submit' button.
Once you've completed the registration, you'll be provided with a 'Site Key' and a 'Secret Key'.
Copy these keys and navigate to the backend of your Societal Labs platform.
Click on the 'Plugins' tab on the left sidebar menu.
Click on the 'reCAPTCHA' plugin.
Paste the 'Site Key' and 'Secret Key' in the respective fields in the reCAPTCHA plugin settings.
And that's it! You've successfully set up the Google reCAPTCHA integration in Societal Labs. This will add an 'I'm not a robot' checkbox to your site's forms, helping to protect your platform from spammers and bots.
